Our training and experience enables us to offer effective outpatient, individualized care. We treat a number of mental health issues for individuals, families, and couples.
Our focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a nonjudgemental, safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan to fit your needs.
No ones life is without stress or challenges. Our hope is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
I am a licensed professional counselor in Texas and Oklahoma. I earned my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University - Texarkana. I am also a certified yoga teacher. Those who know me know that I love the work I get to do. My therapeutic approach has been shaped by my professional and personal experiences, as well as my education and training. I see therapy is an incredibly powerful and meaningful process that changes lives and creates huge transformations. I consider it a privilege to be present in a person’s journey of understanding, healing, and growth. My therapeutic approach focuses on getting to know my clients with empathy and understanding. I enjoy working with clients of all ages and backgrounds.
Therapy is a challenging process; and it is crucial that you feel safe and comfortable with your therapist. Exploring your history, pain, shame, and struggles takes a lot of effort and energy. It is a vulnerable process. While vulnerability is a brave choice, it’s also physically uncomfortable and emotionally scary.
When you choose a therapist, you are choosing a person to trust with your story, to trust with your vulnerability. The therapeutic relationship is unique from a friendship in many ways; even though it is important that you like the therapist enough to want to share and earn your trust. It is a professional relationship where you set the goals, direct what is important to focus on, and you are the sole priority of each session. The therapist’s role is to honor your story, your efforts, and to use our training, our skills, to provide the atmosphere, safe relationship and space for you to share; and to help you develop coping skills to process and move towards your goals.
One size does not fit all, and this process looks different for everyone. We encourage you to find a therapist that is a good fit for you, and know that YOU GET TO CHOOSE YOUR THERAPIST.
